Steven Seagal: Lawman is an A&E Network reality television series starring actor and martial artist Steven Seagal in his role as a reserve deputy sheriff in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. It debuted on December 2, 2009. "I've been operating as an officer in Jefferson Parish under most people's radar for two decades," remarked Seagal in the first episode, "The Way of the Gun." "I've decided to collaborate with A&E on this series now because I believe it's critical to show the nation all of the wonderful work being done here in Louisiana—to see the passion and devotion that comes from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in this post-Katrina climate."
