Sledge Hammer!
From 1986 to 1988, Sledge Hammer! was an American satirical police sitcom produced by New World Television that aired on ABC for two seasons. Alan Spencer devised the show, which stars David Rasche as Inspector Sledge Hammer, a ridiculous parody of the usual "police on the edge" figure. Al Jean and Mike Reiss, who are most recognized for their work on The Simpsons, worked as story editors and writers on the show.
