Rebellion

During the Easter Rising in Dublin in 1916, a group of young men and women are fighting for independence. The beginning of World War I marks the beginning of the story. Irish nationalism rises to the fore as societal stability is damaged by the disappointment of a short and glorious campaign. Throughout the film, a group of friends from Dublin, Belfast, and London tell the story of the events leading up to Ireland's declaration of independence.
