Misty Button
An Irish escapade gone awry in this dark comedy that captures the freewheeling émigré milieu of guys short on job and money but long on booze in Brooklyn and the Bronx. A jobless James teams up with his pal Eoin on a for-hire trip to the track for slippery raconteur Timmy Thomas, who has just burned his last bridge. In a botched attempt at sleight of hand, the boys fail spectacularly, putting themselves in debt to a band of thugs. When a brave lady with a soft spot for the sound of Irish and a penchant for greenbacks sets her sights on James, things become interesting.
