Mistress
On the hunt for financial supporters for a screenwriter (Wuhl), a producer (Landau) reads an old movie draft. In fact, each money source (Aiello, DeNiro, Wallach) seems to have his own mistress he wants in the film. In order to please these backers, the screenwriter gradually modifies his script until he no longer recognizes his own initial ideas.
