Shiva Rama Raju (Jagapati Babu), a well-known good Samaritan in Parvatipuram, makes a bet with Veerraju (Supreet) in the same village that "if any of his three daughters fall in love, he will either kill them or cut off his ears" and vows to marry off his daughters to grooms of his choosing, no love marriages or elopements. His third daughter, Kavita (Rakul Preet Singh), is his only child. Raju (Manchu Manoj) is a troubled adolescent who is head over heels in love with Sunny (Sunny Leone), an English teacher at a junior college. Sunny has a student named Kavita. Raju uses Kavita as a messenger to fall in love with Sunny; as the story unfolds, Raju and Kavita fall in love. The rest of the novel revolves around their plans to marry.
