Violet Sanford, who is 21 and has a velvety voice, moves to New York to follow her dream of becoming a songwriter. However, the praise and attention she gets at her "day job" as a barmaid at Coyote Ugly overshadows her dreams. The "Coyotes," as they are lovingly called, amuse customers and the media with their crazy antics. This makes Coyote Ugly the place where guys looking for dates go to drink.
