Bordertown
American corporations are exploiting the North American Free Trade Agreement by setting up massive maquiladoras just across the border in Mexico. To make vast quantities of things, maquiladoras employ mostly Mexican women for little pay. Lauren Adrian (Jennifer Lopez), a passionate American news reporter for the "Chicago Sentinel", aspires to chronicle the war in Iraq. She is instead assigned to investigate a string of murders involving teenage maquiladora manufacturing workers in an Arizona border town.
