Apart from a few modest houses, a bar, a gas station with a mini-market, and a garbage dump, rural Fulton County, Georgia is essentially devoid of life. Introverted Joel works at a garbage dump, where he occasionally comes into an usable glass bottle that he cleans and brings home. Then, unexpectedly, he receives a phone call informing him that his ex-wife has vanished, leaving him in charge of their son. Joel, who is set to see his son for the first time, has no idea how he will establish a relationship with 10-year-old Will, who also appears to exist in his own world. Fortunately for them, Clara, a bright neighborhood girl, comes to their rescue, and Will begins to open up to his father. However, the youth welfare officer is already at the door, pounding on it. Jaron Albertin's feature-length directorial debut is a thoughtful, slightly sad film about two strangers who develop a profound understanding of one another.
