Tisza: Autumn Sketches
Along a river, the landscape is showing the first signs of fall. Some villagers are stacking stone blocks on the riverbank to stop more erosion. Others work by plowing, fishing, or fixing things. A little steamboat goes by. A stoker is shoveling coal into the oven in the engine room. As the river flows on, it passes by a small town. A crew of rowers is getting ready for races. Through a microscope, some biologists are looking at tiny organisms in the water. A group of people are painting a new barge and pushing it into the river. When a small boy sees a race boat, he leaves his sandcastle and runs along the river.
