Sahara
After the fall of Tobruk in June 1942, U.S. Army sergeant Joe Gunn leads his tank into the Sahara desert in order to get to Allied lines and avoid Rommel's troops, who are moving toward them. At some point they run out of water. He picks up a few other soldiers along the way. A whole German battalion wants to get water from an old well, and they find it. Sergeant Gunn decides to fight for the well, even though the odds are against him, even though it is impossible.
