Chef Dave Oberlin's (Ryan Rottman) career is thrown into disarray after his argument with a prominent food reviewer goes viral. Dave is forced to take a teaching post at his friend's culinary arts school after being banned by premium eateries. When Dr. Nina Kirby (Maya Stojan) comes up for promotion at her local hospital, the Head of Cardiology assures her that if she can get Dave to teach the Healthy Living seminars, she will be a shoe-in for the post. The only issue is that Nina is unable to cook and has no desire to learn. Nina accepts to take Dave's class after some convincing from her best friend and coworker, Olivia (Tanya Chisholm). When Nina presents Dave with the Healthy Living seminars, he expresses disinterest in working with her due to her low engagement in class. Nina and Dave discover some unexpected common ground while attempting to convince him to join the cause.
