Sailor Johannes Blom returns to his home port, after seven years at sea, to locate that Sally, the woman he has been considering while away, is completely hopeless. 7 years previously, obstreperous Alexander Blom, brings his mistress Sally to cope with him, his partner Alice, child Johannes, as well as crew, aboard the salvage watercraft he captains. Among all the tensions on the little boat, Johannes and Sally fall for each other.
