Zoey 101 is an American television sitcom that debuted on Nickelodeon on January9, 2005 and continued airing on that network until May2, 2008. The story follows the life of a young woman named Zoey Brooks and her pals as they go to a made-up boarding school in Southern California called Pacific Coast Academy. Dan Schneider was the one who initially came up with the idea. The first few episodes were shot at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, but beginning with season3, production moved to stages in Valencia, California. It received a nomination for an Emmy in the "Outstanding Children's Program" category in the year 2005. Due to the fact that the whole series was produced on location in Malibu, Zoey 101 was Nickelodeon's most expensive production ever for a television series. Additionally, it was the best performance for a series launch that Nickelodeon has seen in almost eight years. Despite this, a large number of reviewers have expressed their disagreement with the characters, the setting, and the overall show.
