Wild City
Singapore is one of the world's fastest expanding cities. It was once a tropical jungle, but now it is 665 square kilometers of traffic, concrete, and air conditioning. However, there is a wild aspect to the city, with pangolins, crocodiles, monkeys, otters, snakes, and hornbills living alongside skyscrapers and boardwalks. Sir David Attenborough narrates this series that explores how nature has adapted within this bustling metropolis. Wild City explores the variety of habitats found in and around Singapore's built-up urban sprawl before taking viewers on a tour of the island's hidden wildlife hotspots, from the overlooked interior to the inaccessible coastline and islands that have become unplanned sanctuaries for the country's natural heritage.
