Unchained Reaction

Reality game program Unchained Reaction airs on the Discovery Channel's science and engineering channel. MythBusters hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman serve as judges and executive producers for the competition. It premiered March18,2012, and sets two teams of different backgrounds against each other to build an enormous chain reaction contraption. Using a predetermined theme as a guide, teams are given the same equipment and materials and allowed five days to build mechanisms around those tools and materials. Each week, the teams are given a "missing link" piece to put to the middle of their machines midway through the week. Winner is chosen by Savage, Hyneman, and a third judge.
