Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki, creator of Black Cat, created To Love-Ru. The manga ran in Weekly Shnen Jump from April24, 2006 to August31,2009. 18 tankbon volumes were published in Japan. Original drama CD published in February 2008. A 26-episode animation series by Xebec aired in Japan in April-September 2008. Six original video animation episodes were produced by Xebec from April 2009 to April 2010. Xebec's 12-episode second season Motto To-Love Ru premiered in October-December 2010. A Nintendo DS game was launched in August2008, while a PSP game was released in October. To Love-Ru Darkness began serialization in Jump Square on Oct.4, 2010. Xebec's anime version of To-Love Ru Darkness debuted in October 2012. The title,, is gairaigo "trouble" and "rabu" means "love." The term refers to the harem aspect of the series.
