The Spectacular Spider-Man

The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American animated TV series based on the Marvel Comics superhero character. The series is based on Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's original stories, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy with a high school setting. However, it also uses material from all eras of the comic's run and other sources like the film series and Ultimate Spider-Man comics. The Spectacular Spider-Man premiered on March8, 2008 on Kids' WB on The CW. The second season premiered on Disney XD in the US and ended on November18, 2009 to good reviews. The third season was planned but never filmed.
