The Slave Hunters

The Slave Hunters is a 2010 South Korean action historical drama about a slave hunter who is pursuing a general-turned-runaway slave while also looking for the woman he loves. It aired on KBS2 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 24 episodes from January 6 to March 25, 2010. The series was visually and intellectually engaging to spectators due to an appropriate display of strong brawn, intricate yet realistic action scenes, bawdy comedy, and poetic moments of tragedy and humanity. The usage of a Red One camera gave each shot a theater-worthy sheen, according to critics. The popular show led the ratings chart for seven weeks in a row, averaging 31.7 percent and peaking at 35.9%. The Seoul International Drama Awards and the KBS Drama Awards both recognized the show. Jang was also nominated for an International Emmy Award for Best Actor for his performance.
