The Queen
The Queen, a 2009 British drama-documentary, showed Queen Elizabeth II at different points in her life. Each episode, which aired on Channel 4 for five nights starting on November 29, 2009, had a different actress play the Queen. The Queen was played by Emilia Fox, Samantha Bond, Susan Jameson, Barbara Flynn, and Diana Quick. Katie McGrath played Princess Margaret in the first episode and Lesley Manville played Margaret Thatcher in the third. The series was partly paid for by the American Broadcasting Company, which is the network that showed it in the US. This brought together Emilia Fox and Katie McGrath, who had played sisters on BBC One's Merlin.
