The Phone
Willem Brom, Beau van Erven Dorens, and Marc Bennink are the creators of the Dutch television reality show The Phone. The show's producers will hide two cell phones in various locations during each episode. The phones will begin to ring, and any who answer them will be game participants from that point forward. These two individuals now have a chance to win €25,000 by working together to complete the objectives. The show is distinct in that it is filmed as a movie rather than a reality show. Die Hard with a Vengeance and other action films served as inspiration. On July6,2007, Dutch public broadcaster AVRO aired the first episode of The Phone. 52 countries have already purchased the show. It was awarded the Rose d'Or for Best Reality in 2008.
