Land Before Time is a television show based on Judy Freudberg and Tony Geiss's film series of the same name, which was released in 1985. On January 5, 2007, YTV in Canada broadcasted a test episode of the animated series, which was created for television by Ford Riley of Universal Animation Studios and Amblin Entertainment. As of March 5, 2007 in the United States, Cartoon Network's U.S. network premiered The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers DVD. British television network Boomerang ran the show from April 16 to 17, 2007. First aired on the Kids Station in Japan in May of that year. Since the 7th of April, 2008, the first episode of the first season has been aired on Cartoon Network in India. Neither Cartoon Network nor YTV in Canada have aired the show since March of 2008. A new Spacetoon English channel was launched on January1,2011, following the closure of Spacetoon English. Tv Russia aired it on May2,2009, the day after TV Russia Service Television went out of business. With conventional animation and computer-animated backgrounds, it follows in the footsteps of previous sequels, such as The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration and The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration X. Red Claw, an evil wicked Tyrannosaurus, and Screech and Thud, two henchman Velociraptors are the series' main adversaries. After the events of The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends, the TV series takes place in the next year.
