Felicia Day, who plays Cyd Sherman, founded and wrote The Guild. It debuted July27, 2007 on YouTube. Seasons 2-5 debuted on Xbox Live Marketplace, Zune Marketplace, and MSN Video. The Guild website, YouTube, and iTunes later posted the webisodes. After season five, Microsoft's business model changed, therefore Day relocated episode premieres to Geek & Sundry. DVDs and Hulu and Netflix stream the webisodes. The show follows The Knights of Good, an online gaming group that plays The Game, a fantasy MMORPG. Codex, the guild's Priestess, tries to lead a normal life after Warlock Zaboo shows up. The Guild inspired Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, starring Felicia Day. Geek & Sundry's sixth season premiered Oct.2, 2012. Felicia Day confirmed The Guild's conclusion in a phone interview after season six.
