The Day of the Triffids
The BBC started showing the British TV series The Day of the Triffids in 1981. The novel by John Wyndham from 1951 was turned into a TV show by Douglas Livingstone. The six half-hour episodes were produced by David Maloney, directed by Ken Hannam, and had music written by Christopher Gunning.
