A department dubbed the Office Of Legends (BDL) inside the DGSE (General Directorate for External Security) creates and remotely pilots the most important agents of the French intelligence services: Clandestine. Their objective is to discover individuals who may be recruited as sources of intelligence while immersed in a hostile country. They live in perpetual deception for many years while operating "under caption," that is, in a manufactured identity from scratch. Our hero has recently returned from a six-year undercover mission in Damascus. However, contrary to what is needed by safety guidelines, he does not renounce his tale and the identity under which he lived in Syria, placing the entire system in jeopardy.
