The Ben Stiller Show is the name of two sketch comedy TV shows that aired on MTV from 1990 to 1991 and then on Fox from September 1992 to January 1993. Ben Stiller, Andy Dick, Janeane Garofalo, and Bob Odenkirk are all on the Fox show. John F. O'Donohue, who played a minor character, was also in every episode. It had a lot of filmed comedy segments, many of which made fun of popular culture from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. Fox cancelled the show after only 12 episodes, even though most of the reviews were positive. The Ben Stiller Show was different from most sketch comedy shows because it didn't have a studio audience or a laugh track. This sketch comedy show was the only one on Fox that didn't use a laugh track. The Andy Dick Show, which was a kind of spinoff, used the same format. After the show was canceled, it won an Emmy Award in 1993 for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Series.
