The Beat

the emotional and professional lives of two new New York City police recruits are examined by The Beat When Officers Mike Dorigan and Zane Marinelli, two young, irreverent cops, look at the city, they observe the everyday machinations through the bloodshot eyes of their generation and the peculiar metropolitan environment. Both men are forced to rely on their sense of humor to get through their shifts due to the unpredictable nature of New York's vocal residents as well as racial tensions and excessive use of police force.
