Thanks is an American television sitcom that premiered on CBS and ran for six episodes on Monday nights from 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. ET. The Winthrops, a 17th century Puritan family in Plymouth, Massachusetts, face many challenges and afflictions. Characters are named after two notable Puritan religious leaders: John Winthrop, the famed ruler of the initial Bostonian Puritan society, and John Cotton, another prominent Puritan religious leader.
