Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
This version of the franchise has been the longest running and most remembered of all, while being markedly different from the bleak, violent, and dark MIRAGE comics from which the Turtles started. Four turtles tumble into the sewers and are befriended by Hamato Yoshi, a Japanese man brought to New York and forced to live in the sewers. One day, he notices a peculiar green glow that changes the four turtles into human-like creatures. As they combine up with Channel 6 news reporter April O'Neil to confront Yoshi's arch adversary Shredder and Krang, an alien warlord from Dimension X, Hamato (now Master Splinter) transforms into a huge rat from the green glow and teaches the turtles ninja skills.
