Sky High
Live-action, paranormal Japanese television drama series, starring Yumiko Shaku, airs on Japanese television. It was so well-received during its initial run in Japan in 2003 and 2004 that a film based on it was made in the same year. Both are based on the manga series Skyhigh, which originated in Japan. She plays Izuko, the Gatekeeper to Hell, in this Japanese anime series. As in the American series, Ghost Whisperer, which follows a woman who must utilize her supernatural abilities to aid the deceased on their afterlife journeys by determining the cause of their death, the basic premise of the show is similar. Even though she does her best, Izuko's guidance does not always lead to a happy conclusion for her students.
