To celebrate Hanna-Barbera Productions' 30th anniversary in1988, ABC rebroadcast Richie Rich as part of its weekend/weekday programming block The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera, which ran from 1980 to 1984. The series, based on the iconic Richie Rich comic book characters from Harvey Comics, originally aired in the same time slots as Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, The Little Rascals, and Pac-Man. Other notable characters were Richie's dog, named Dollar. Boomerang repeats of the show incorporate the music from The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show and Scrappy Too! over the closing credits.
