The Movie Network and Movie Central, in association with Shaftesbury Films, are responsible for the production of the television show ReGenesis, which airs on Canadian television. The characters in this television series, which was shown for a total of four seasons, worked for the fictitious corporation NorBAC, which maintained a research facility in the Greater Toronto Area. The group conducts investigations all throughout Canada, the United States of America, and Mexico on issues of a scientific nature, such as bio-terrorism, unexplained ailments, and significant environmental shifts. David Sandstrom, who serves as both the organization's chief scientist and its chief molecular biologist, is the person in charge of NorBAC. This persona serves as a vehicle for the show to explore a variety of timely social, political, and ethical concerns that are connected to the subject of scientific investigation. The series was initially broadcast on The Movie Network and Movie Central, with rebroadcasts airing in Canada on Global and Showcase. Internationally, it is carried on FX in the United Kingdom; in the United States, it airs on The Science Channel, Halogen TV, and in syndication; in Mexico, it airs on FX Latin America; and in Europe and Asia, there are a large number of broadcasters that carry it. Oasis International is in charge of the company's distribution throughout the international market. As of the month of April in 2012, the program is also available to watch online at Hulu.com.
