Rawhide is an American Western television series starring Eric Fleming and Clint Eastwood that aired on the CBS network from January9, 1959 to September3,1965, on Friday nights, before moving to Tuesday nights from September14, 1965 to January4,1966, with a total of 217 black-and-white episodes. Charles Marquis Warren, who also produced early episodes of Gunsmoke, produced and sometimes directed the series. Rawhide was the fifth-longest-running American television Western, after only Wagon Train with eight years, The Virginian with nine years, Bonanza with fourteen years, and Gunsmoke with twenty years.
