Pets

Pets is a Fit2Fill Productions Ltd. adult puppet sitcom. It aired on Channel 4 for two seasons, 2001 and 2002. In Australia, MTV, and the Middle East bought it. Andrew Barclay and Brian West created and wrote the series. They previously worked together at the Edinburgh Festival and on the sketch show We Know Where You Live. Pets broadcast 26 11-minute episodes. They aired early in the morning, thus the series was unknown, but it gained a cult following. The Pets website requested a DVD release. The official website sold a limited edition DVD. The DVD contained two unaired episodes, a clip show called "The Trials of Hamish," and a behind-the-scenes segment called "The Making Of Pets." iTunes offers a free podcast of Pets episodes. Mongrels, a similar BBC3 show, sparked controversy in 2010. Both shows have four major characters, but Pets has five in Mongrels. Also, Mongrels' locations are more diverse than Pets'.
