Odysseus

In the eighth century before Christ, the Greek island of Ithaca was an autonomous state. Ten years have passed since the end of the Trojan War, and the Greeks have emerged triumphant from the conflict. There is only one individual who has not returned from his journey, and that is Odysseus, the King of Ithaca. He went missing while sailing. As a result of the several regional princes invading the kingdom, consuming its resources, and putting pressure on Queen Penelope to select a new husband, the economic situation on the island is deteriorating by the day. She tells her suitors that she will make her decision as soon as she has done weaving the burial shroud for King Laertes so that they will be kept waiting. On the other hand, at night she undoes all she did throughout the day. The son of Odysseus, Telemachus, would never dare to stake a claim to the throne that his father once held. His main aspiration in life is to set sail and find Odysseus in time to save him. Penelope's repressed emotions are brought to the surface by an itinerant musician, and this sets off a chain reaction that quickly intensifies. Who will ascend to the throne and rule? Who is this Leocrites character, the manipulator? Who is the rightful heir to the kingdom, Telemachus? Or how about Eukharistos, the alluring wanderer? Or will Odysseus be able to make it back in time to take control of the situation? Unless Clea and Eurynome, two slaves captured by the Trojans, bring complete anarchy to Ithaca... The most famous tale from Greek mythology is given a fresh perspective in ODYSSEUS via the eyes of its four main characters: Telemachus, Penelope, Clea, and Leocrites. This allows for the uncovering of the mythology's deepest, most hidden mysteries.
