Never Better
Never Better is a British sitcom that premiered on BBC Two on January 10, 2008. Stephen Mangan plays alcoholic-in-recovery Keith Merchant, and Kate Ashfield plays his suffering wife, Anita. Fintan Ryan writes the series for World Productions. Dark comedies such as Lead Balloon and Curb Your Enthusiasm have been used to define this series. However, reviewers have argued that the show is too similar to these types of programs, and have criticized Keith's lack of humor. The sitcom was badly welcomed by audiences, with the first season averaging fewer than one million viewers per episode.
