Monster Squad is a TV show that ran on NBC on Saturday mornings from 1976 to 1977. It has nothing to do with the movie of the same name that came out later. The show is about a criminology student named Walt who works as a night watchman at "Fred's Wax Museum." Walt built a prototype "Crime Computer" as a way to pass the time. He put it in a large stone sarcophagus near an exhibit of mythical monsters. When Walt plugged in his computer, "oscillating vibrations" made the wax statues of Dracula, the Wolfman, whose name in the credits was "Bruce W. Wolf," and Frankenstein's Monster come to life. To make up for what they had done in the past, the monsters became crime-fighting superheroes. They used their special skills to take on and beat different supervillains. Most of the time, Walt would send the monsters out to solve crimes and fight bad guys while he watched everything from the wax museum using the Crime Computer. He probably did this because his job required him to be at the wax museum at all times. But in some episodes, Walt and his friends would sometimes join the final battle and save the day when they were in trouble.
