Mental

Chris Vance and Annabella Sciorra starred in the television show Mental, which was created by Fox's subsidiary Fox Telecolombia and broadcast throughout the summer and fall of 2009 on FOX international channels in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. The show was produced by Fox's subsidiary Fox Telecolombia. The successful drama series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and the Lifetime series The Division were both created by Deborah Joy LeVine, who also served as an executive producer on the television shows Any Day Now, Dawson's Creek, and the CBS series Early Edition. Deborah Joy LeVine and her brother and writing/producing partner, Dan LeVine, served as executive producers for the television show Mental. After making its premiere in the United States, it went on to air in further 35 countries. On June 2, 2009, Fox Latin America showed the pilot episode, which was referred to as the "Worldwide Premiere." The premiere episode of the show was shown by Fox on May 26, 2009 for the American market. Fox TV Studios placed an order for thirteen episodes. The first day of production was June 2, 2008, and it took place in the studios of Fox Telecolombia in Bogotá. Because of the strictly American nature of the series, not a single Colombian actor was cast in a regular role, and only a very small number of Colombian actors were cast for occasional roles, despite the fact that the series was filmed in the city of Bogotá in Colombia, which represented Los Angeles. TVWeek reports that Jacqueline McKenzie, Derek Webster, Nicholas Gonzalez, and Marisa Ramirez have been added to the cast of Mental, adding that they would "probably be playing recurrent characters."
