Maigret
In this reincarnation of the 1960s BBC drama series, which was first shown in 1992, Michael Gambon plays the eponymous detective from the Sûreté. The series is based on the books written by Georges Simenon. Maigret is an intuitive investigator who investigates his cases by observing and listening, getting to know everyone on his list of suspects, and waiting for someone on his list to make a mistake or break down and confess before moving on to the next suspect.
