Kevin Brophy, John Randolph, and Don Gordon star in the ABC drama Lucan, which ran from 1977 to 1978. Lucan, a 20-year-old man who was reared by wolves and spent the first ten years of his life living wild in the forest, is taken to a research institution and taught human society's customs. During his trip to civilization, he is befriended by a nice research doctor with whom he bonds. After his medical buddy and mentor is injured, Lucan's independence at the research center is jeopardized. Because his friend cannot guarantee Lucan's safety at the institute, he advises him to go on his own in quest of his true identity. Lucan's meetings, challenges, and intrigues engaging with people utilizing his newly acquired social graces and old Wolfen instincts were recounted in this short-lived TV series. When Lucan became enraged, he used extraordinary Wolfen abilities. His eyes blazed amber when he became agitated to the verge of violence. His sense of smell and hearing were also enhanced. He was able to contact his previous wolf family/pack for assistance in a couple episodes. The series was based on David Greene's 1977 made-for-TV film of the same name.
