Less Than Kind
Jesse Camacho plays as Sheldon Blecher, an adolescent growing up in a loving but chaotic Jewish family in Winnipeg. Maury Chaykin and Wendel Meldrum play Sheldon's parents, Benjamin Arthur plays Josh, and Nancy Sorel plays Clara. The Blechers run a driving school in Winnipeg's North End. The show premiered on Citytv on October 13, 2008, then transferred to HBO Canada in February 2010. The series received Canadian Comedy Awards in 2009 and 2010. Less Than Kind won the 2010 Gemini and 2013 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Comedy Series. Less Than Kind's title sequence and logo were inspired by a highway sign near Winnipeg's Confusion Corner crossroads. "A bit more than kin, less than nice" is Hamlet's first line.
