Three older folks who have never truly grown up explore their world in the Yorkshire Dales, unburdened by wives, careers, or any other responsibilities. They spend their days wondering about their neighbors and imagining activities that the elderly typically shun. 1973 marked the debut of Last of the Summer Wine as an episode of Comedy Playhouse. The series aired 295 episodes through 2010. It is the longest-running British comedy and the longest-running sitcom in the entire world.
