Las Vegas

NBC began airing the American television series Las Vegas on September22,2003, and continued to do so until February15, 2008. The plot of the show revolves around a group of people who are employed at the fictitious Montecito Resort & Casino and are tasked with resolving issues that arise within the context of their working environment. These problems can be anything from valet parking and restaurant management to casino security. The show's debut episode aired on a Monday night, but NBC eventually shifted it to Fridays at first at 9 p.m. Eastern/8 p.m. Central time, and then at 10 p.m. Eastern/9 p.m. Central time. After a long run of daily back to back episodes, the show was relocated to a graveyard slot at 4 am, and subsequently it was withdrawn entirely from TNT's lineup. This occurred in July2013, when syndication in the United States came to an end. Ed Deline, a strict former CIA officer who went from being Head of Security to becoming President of Operations of the Montecito, whose job it is to run the day-to-day operations of the casino, was the initial focus of the series when it first aired. He went from being Head of Security to becoming President of Operations of the Montecito. After Ed's departure from the show at the end of Season5, his former protégé and former Marine Danny McCoy took over as President of Operations of the Montecito. In the offseason following the conclusion of the fifth season of Las Vegas, NBC decided to cancel the show, which resulted in the series ending unexpectedly on a cliffhanger.
