Land of the Lost
ABC debuted Land of the Lost, a half-hour Saturday morning children's programme, in the fall of 1991. Nickelodeon picked up reruns later on. Tiger Toys was granted the permission to make a toyline based on the series, which includes standard and "talking" action figures, various dinosaurs and playsets, an electronic Crystal Sword, an electronic LCD game, and a board game. During a family vacation, Tom, Kevin, and Annie Porter are transported into an alternative prehistoric world. The Porters construct a treehouse and make friends with a few locals, including Tasha, an orphaned, exceptionally intelligent dinosaur, Stink, a monkey man, and Christa, a human who has lived in the Land of the Lost since she was a child. The Porters are forced to coexist alongside dinosaurs and dodge the evil, technologically advanced Sleestaks.
