Kindred: The Embraced

It is a television series that is produced in the United States of America by John Leekley Productions and Spelling Television called Kindred: The Embraced. The television show, which was only tangentially inspired by the tabletop role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade, debuted on Fox on April 2, 1996, and lasted for a total of eight episodes until being canceled on May 9, 1996. The main character of the series was San Francisco Police Detective Frank Kohanek, who made the shocking discovery that his city is full of vampires while conducting an investigation into an alleged mobster named Julian Luna. Julian is the "prince" of the city and the leader of all five factions of vampires living in the city, which are referred to as "The Kindred" collectively. Julian makes sure that the regulations that regulate vampires are followed to the letter so that they can maintain their anonymity while surviving in the "masquerade," which involves disguising themselves as humans. As Julian fights with his romantic affections for human reporter Caitlin Byrne, he and Frank work together to try to avoid a war between vampires. During this time, Julian and Frank create an uneasy friendship with one another. Both the VHS tapes and the DVDs containing all eight episodes of the series have been made available.
