Kaboul Kitchen
Kaboul Kitchen airs on Canal+. He created it with Allan Mauduit and Jean-Patrick Benes. The series is based on Radio France Internationale journalist Marc Victor, who owned a French expat café in Kabul until 2008. The first season aired on Canal+ from February 15 to March5, 2012. It broke Canal+'s primetime comedy ratings record. A 12-episode second season has been ordered. The series follows French expat Jacky, who manages Kabul Kitchen in Afghanistan. His daughter Sophie arrives to undertake humanitarian work, but he's simply interested in generating money. The series won Best TV Series and Best TV Screenplay at the 2012 FIPA Festival. It was screened at MIPTV and ranked fourth on The Hollywood Reporter's "MIPTV A-List Projects" list.
