InSecurity
InSecurity is a Canadian television action comedy series. The fictional Canadian National Intelligence and Security Agency is the setting for this series about a team of spyhunters. The sitcom takes place in Ottawa, but is mostly filmed in Regina. The launch of the first season's 13 episodes occurred on January 4, 2011. It was followed by a second season consisting of ten episodes before being canceled by CBC on April 19, 2012 owing to budget cuts in the 2012 Canadian government budget. One of the producers referred to it as "Canada's 24" and a writer compared it to "24 without Jack Bauer, CSI without the science, and James Bond if James Bond were Mr. Bean." The initial pilot focused on the monotony of electronic spying, but it was determined that it was too "narrow." A second pilot was conducted using a more 24 strategy.
