Ryan King, who recently became a widower and hosts a sports talk radio show, is eager to get back to work after the death of his wife. Stephen, Ryan's alpha-male employer, has a different plan in store for Ryan and is going to need him to attend bereavement therapy before he is allowed to return to flying. Ryan, who does not want to be there, ends up participating in a support group for those who are going through a "life change." There, he meets an unusual ensemble of individuals, each of them has their own history that is marked by some degree of bereavement.
