Ed Goodson, an outspoken and opinionated father, delights in sharing his uninvited and frequently grossly politically incorrect insights with everyone who will listen. Ed's kids, Henry, a struggling writer-turned-unpaid blogger, and Vince, the meek half of his husband-and-wife real estate team with the dominant Kathleen, are not exempt from his tirades. When Henry realizes he can no longer afford to pay Sam, his attractive roommate and hidden admirer, his rent, Ed exposes his sympathetic side and encourages Henry to move in with him. Henry complies, knowing that the verbal onslaught will continue and that there is now no way to escape.
