Dinosaur King is a Sega card-based arcade game that uses the similar gameplay ideas as Mushiking, but instead of beetles, it uses super-powered dinosaurs. The game was first shown at JAMMA 2005 and is available in both Japanese and English. In North America, a Nintendo DS version was also available. Upper Deck Company produced a Dinosaur King Trading Card Game in the fall of 2008. This card game should not be confused with the cards used in arcade games. Ancient Ruler Dinosaur King DKidz Adventure, an anime TV series produced by Sunrise and broadcast on TV Asahi on February 4, 2007, is based on the series. An English adaptation aired on the Fox Network's 4Kids TV block until September 6, 2008, when it was moved to The CW's The CW4Kids block. The sequel, "Ancient Ruler Dinosaur King DKidz Adventure: Pterosaur Legend," was announced and released in Japan on February 3, 2008. The show aired in Japan till late 2008.
